Screw compressor







In screw type compressor there exists two screws meshed with each other and the air fallen on the gap of the screw thread is compressed with oil separator and then from oil separator it is delivered to the drier . Here oil is used for the smooth rotation of the screws or to reduce the friction.


Reciprocating compressor





In this compressor piston is used to compress the gas. On the downward motion of the piston the gas is sucked and on the upward motion the gas is compressed and then delivered to the reservoir.



Centrifugal compressor



In centrifugal type compressor there exist impaler and the centrifugal force created by the impaler sucks gas and compresses and delivers to the reservoir.


Axial compressor






In axial type compressor there exist more than one impaler acting on single shaft and the gradually decreasing inner face converts the low pressure high velocity gas to the low velocity high pressure gas and delivers to the reservoir.
